Ascend AI Communication Processing Consent

Version: v1.4

Effective Date: May 23, 2026

1. Communication Processing

By using Ascend AI, the customer acknowledges that calls, SMS messages, and related communications may be received, processed, transcribed, summarized, logged, routed, and stored by automated systems and third-party communication providers.

2. Call and SMS Disclosure

Customers are responsible for providing all required notices and obtaining all required consents from callers, message recipients, staff, customers, patients, clients, or other end users before routing communications through the platform.

This may include notice that communications may be processed by an automated assistant, transcribed, logged, recorded where enabled, and used for scheduling, intake, order, support, or service purposes.

3. Transcripts and Logs

The platform may store transcripts, message bodies, AI responses, caller numbers, timestamps, call status, booking/order outcomes, routing outputs, and operational metadata.

4. Third-Party Processing

Communications may be processed by Twilio (voice and SMS routing), OpenAI (voice transcript processing, AI draft generation, and call summarization), Google (for workspace email and calendar integrations where enabled), Meta (for authorized social business insights where enabled), Supabase (data storage), Vercel (hosting), Stripe (billing), and related infrastructure providers.

5. Customer Authority

Customer represents that it has the legal authority to process communications through the platform and to direct Ascend AI to process such communications.

6. Restricted Content

Customers must not route protected health records, confidential legal records, payment card data, government identifiers, biometric data, or other restricted data through the communication system unless separately authorized in writing.

7. Emergency and Crisis Communications

The platform must not be used as the primary means for emergency medical response, crisis intervention, fire dispatch, police dispatch, life-safety response, or urgent regulated triage.

8. Legal Review

This consent describes how Ascend AI processes communications on behalf of customers. Review with qualified legal counsel is recommended where jurisdiction-specific consent requirements apply.
